Seasoned cyber security leader rejoins to drive IT transformation as Commercial nears £100M milestone 

Commercial, one of the UK’s largest business transformation specialists in business services, is proud to announce the return of Tom Yoxall as Technical Services Director. This marks a strategic addition to the business during a period of major growth and transformation. 

After more than a decade with Commercial, Tom departed in June 2024 to broaden his expertise in cyber security. He returns after a year as Head of Restoration and Recovery at a global intelligence and cyber security consultancy. In this role, he supported major UK businesses in navigating complex cyber threats. 

In his new role, Tom will lead three key areas of Commercial’s IT strategy: Managed Services, Cyber Security, and Cloud & Datacentre. His focus will be on ensuring operational excellence across these areas. He will drive Commercial’s continued success as a proactive, people-first Managed Service Provider.  

Unfinished business

“It feels like coming home,” said Tom. “I spent over a decade working alongside an incredible team to help shape Commercial’s IT offering. With the business approaching the £100 million turnover mark, it’s an exciting time. I’m looking forward to being part of the next phase. I want to build on the strong foundations already in place and contribute to what comes next.” 

Reflecting on his time away, Tom added: “One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that delivering effective IT services isn’t just about technology. It’s about people, processes, and being truly proactive. Too much of the industry is still reactive. We’re going to change that.” 

His return comes at a pivotal moment for Commercial. The company is evolving its IT offering and accelerating its focus on cyber security.
