Commercial launches single-use plastic policy
Recent media attention surrounding the impact of plastic pollution on the oceans has significantly raised public awareness of this problem. And at Commercial, it has prompted us to take decisive action.
Alongside our longstanding customer Sky, we’ve developed an ambitious single-use plastic policy. It commits us to minimising the use and distribution of single-use plastics throughout our supply chain by 2020.
This is a huge and unprecedented commitment. It will have a major impact on the entire business, demanding innovation and tenacity as we seek to identify and eradicate single-use plastic.
In true Commercial style, our employees are embracing this challenge at a personal level as well as in their professional lives. Our latest Change Champions team have been monitoring their day-to-day use of plastic packaging, and trying to find ways to manage without it.
