Commercial has been recognised as a Shining Star by GTS, operator of London’s Elizabeth line.

Commercial has received the Sustainability in the Supply Chain Award from GTS, operator of London’s Elizabeth line. It recognises Commercial’s contribution to the organisation’s environmental and ESG objectives.

The award was presented by GTS’ Energy and Environment team. It honours the supply chain partner that has made the greatest impact on its sustainability ambitions.

 Commercial Sales Manager Jake Parker received the prize from Anna Thorncroft, GTS’ Head of Procurement, during the Shining Star Awards. The ceremony was held at Banking House, the former home of Lloyd’s Bank in the City of London.

A spokesperson from GTS said: “Our Environmental supplier of the year is Commercial who support GTS’ sustainability ambitions through the delivery of green products and initiatives and a continued focus on carbon reduction throughout our contract.”

GTS is a multinational consortium formed by Go-Ahead Group, Keolis, and Sumitomo Corporation. It delivers complex public transport operations in the UK and internationally.

Its latest project is the Elizabeth line, a major addition to London’s transport infrastructure. The £19 billion railway opened in 2022. It links Reading and Heathrow Airport in the west with the City, Canary Wharf, Stratford International, and Essex.

Jake Parker, who manages the GTS account at Commercial, said: “We’re incredibly proud to receive this recognition from GTS.
