CHAS Accreditation confirms Commercial’s commitment to excellence
Commercial continue to build customer confidence with CHAS Accreditation.
Commercial are set to further ease the workload for their clients, having achieved CHAS Advanced Accreditation, which includes a PAS 91 certification.
CHAS stands for the Contractors Health and safety Assessment Scheme. The third-party accreditation applies primarily to the building and construction sectors.
CHAS accreditation is now a requirement for many projects involving onsite installation. This includes digital signage installations, solar and EV.
Attaining this certification means clients remain safe in the knowledge that Commercial adhere to the most up-to-date and stringent health and safety standards.
As part of the accreditation, clients of Commercial will no longer be required to have health and safety processes reviewed for every project. Instead, a yearly assessment ensuring certification standards are still being adhered to will free up members of the team for more business-centric work.
By achieving the CHAS Advanced standard, we meet the requirements of SSIP and the previous PAS 91 standards, demonstrating our compliance and enhancing our visibility to CHAS clients seeking qualified contractors.

Installation and Operations Manager
A Trusted Standard for Client Confidence
Sam Harrison from Commercial said: “CHAS is one of the most recognised and well-respected certifications in the industry for good reason. It provides clients with the security and peace of mind needed to move forward with confidence.
“Organisations know that any contractor bearing the CHAS Accreditation will operate with the health and safety of their crew and others foremost in mind. Commercial can now display that logo with pride.”
The accreditation reduces the processing work before putting a project out to tender. Interested businesses don’t need to conduct a full review, with the accreditation showing that their processes meet all industry regulations and guidelines.
PAS 91 certification is a crucial aspect of CHAS Advanced Accreditation. The prequalification questionnaire (PQQ) provides a universally applicable system for assessing the capability of suppliers.
The inclusion of this certification further demonstrates the robustness of the accreditation, with modules covering nine key areas of risk management.
Compliance Breeding Excellence
The benefits of CHAS Advanced Accreditation won’t only be felt by Commercial and their clients. Suppliers will be able to direct time and resources towards more important tasks on a day-to-day basis.
Sam added: “We are delighted to have achieved CHAS Advanced Accreditation as well as PAS 91 certification.
“CHAS is at the forefront of setting compliance benchmarks. It helps to drive industries forward and make the world of work a safer place.
“Many projects which require onsite installation now require this kind of certification. It demonstrates that we are fully up-to-date with the latest risk management solutions.
“This accreditation will also go a long way towards allowing our clients to focus their teams’ efforts where they are needed most.
“Big thanks must go to everyone in the Commercial team who has helped us along the way. Whether that be through preparing the correct documentation or ensuring all standards are met across a given risk management area.”
