Commercial and Anaplan Partner to Deliver a Future-Focused Workplace in York

Anaplan has partnered with business transformation specialists Commercial to deliver a modern, collaborative workplace. The space is designed to support growth, innovation, and flexibility in today’s evolving business landscape. 

At the heart of the project is a next-generation “All Hands” hub featuring two-way video conferencing. This hub allows Anaplan to connect its global team and showcase innovative technologies company-wide. The vision for this space stemmed from a shared commitment to creating a dynamic workplace that attracts and retains top talent. 

Inspired by Anaplan’s brand and culture, the workspace features unique design elements. These include an angled entrance screen with wooden slats and moss. There are also architectural nods to the Anaplan logo in the meeting room walls and adjoining corridors. 

Completed following an eight-month collaboration, the 9,470 sq. ft. project emerged from a competitive tender. It reflects a truly joint effort between Anaplan and Commercial. Design, fit-out, and furniture specification were shaped by Anaplan’s 130-strong York-based team, with particular focus on supporting their hybrid working model. The space includes 84 workstations, nine meeting rooms, breakout areas, soft seating, and significantly upgraded facilities. 

Delivering to the highest standards

Together, Anaplan and Commercial carefully selected finishes for walls, floors, fabrics, and the kitchen. The look blends Anaplan’s signature dark blue and grey palette throughout the workspace to reflect their brand identity. 

The partnership extended beyond Commercial’s Business Interiors area of expertise. Smart Technology and Technology teams also worked alongside Anaplan to equip the office with modern AV solutions and desktop hardware. Each of the nine meeting rooms, named after Norse gods, have been fitted with advanced conferencing technology to enable seamless communication.
