Commercial’s Change Champions Launch Employee Community
Commercial’s latest Change Champions project is live, with ‘Team Panda’ coming together over the course of three months to deliver a transformational Employee Community for the business.
Change Champions is an employee engagement initiative where individuals from across Commercial who may not normally interact with each other in their workday, come together to deliver a project which will be transformational for the business. Since launching in 2015, over 200 team members have taken part in projects. These have ranged from a Net-Zero home booklet to a Commercial v arthritis bike ride and even a living wall.
This time around, the Change Champions have implemented an Employee Community. This is designed for all team members at Commercial to use in their daily working lives. The online Employee Community operates as a company social media platform. The site is populated with groups dedicated to a range of different interests.
From health and wellbeing to buy and sell, from parents and guardians to pets. Everyone across the business now has a hub where they can connect, share ideas and offer support to each other. The platform also includes groups for the latest Commercial news and shoutouts for team members who have gone above and beyond in their roles.
Employee Community Launch Day
Change Champions ‘Team Panda’ was formed in October of 2024 and consists of individuals from across the business. The Employee Community was launched on 15 January 2025.
This launch day began with an online presentation to the entire company, followed by a pizza party. This included food and refreshments in addition to sign-up sheets for each of the groups which had been created for the launch. An additional sheet was created for people across the business to come up with ideas for potential new groups.
The event was a roaring success, even featuring an appearance from Commercial’s very own panda, Print Account Manager David Tarbuck. ‘Team Panda’ were delighted with the turnout from everyone in the office. The day ensured that the launch of the Employee Community was one to remember!
