Overview

Our Managed IT Division designs, implements and supports the IT infrastructures of some of the UK’s top organisations within both the public and private sector. No client has the same needs and our solutions and support packages are tailored to the specific requirements of each client. We are currently looking for an IT Workshop Engineer to look after our infrastructure hardware ready for project implementation.

WE WANT YOU TO…

  • Build, test and patch infrastructure hardware ready for project implementation
  • Repair, configure and install workstations including PCs, Laptops and Tablets
  • Pre-build HPE Servers and Blades with base configuration and firmware
  • Configure Aruba Switches and VMware ESXi as per Technical Information Worksheets
  • Liaise with Project Managers and Technical Consultants to drive efficiencies in the Workshop build process
  • Schedule Field Engineering ad-hoc site visits/contract visits and update the central repository with relevant dates
  • Maintain and configure segregated networks for IT and Managed Print Services workshop teams
  • Document procedures/processes and contribute to the knowledgebase
  • Attend client sites when required to rack, label and document infrastructure hardware or install workstations
  • Follow IT procedures e.g. ITIL and strictly comply with our policies

YOU HAVE GOT...

  • Proven experience of building infrastructure hardware in a similar role
  • Exceptional fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • A clean driving licence
  • Relevant experience with the technologies listed below:
    • HP Servers (ML & DL)
    • Blades including enclosures
    • HPE Storage
    • Aruba Switches
    • Sophos Firewalls
    • NAS devices

WORKING HOURS:

37.5 hours per week. However, occasional overtime may be required to meet the demands of the role.
