Commercial Celebrates Reaccreditation

Commercial hits the environmental standard, again.
Commercial has been recertified by the International Organisation for Standardization for our commitment for protecting the environment.
Our Environmental Management Systems team were audited by the British Standards Institute (BSi) for our ISO14001:2015 accreditation and were bowled over by the positive feedback they received.
Recertification was achieved – with flying colours – with the independent auditor unable to find anything to recommend for improvement.
Commercial co-founder and managing director, Simone Hindmarch, said that while one minor non-compliance was noted, due to lockdown, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive:
"The highlight of the process, was the auditor being unable to pick the two biggest positives in our submission, because there were too many to mention,” Simone said.
Commercial’s award-winning Social Impact Report was highlighted for praise and picked out as a shining example for other organisations to follow.
The purpose of the report is to challenge the traditional model of business by sharing the company’s strategies, approach and the impact of its sustainability programme.
The auditor said that a lot of companies have the policies or the programmes, but don’t necessarily have the evidence.
The Commercial by Nature mantra and the number of internal initiatives involving each and every member of the team was also praised.
Simone added: “We continue to live and breathe the Commercial by Nature mantra which, in no small part, ensures that sustainability remains part of our DNA.
“We are extremely proud of the EMS team - Alan Martin, Emma Levings, Adam Miller, Alastair Adams and Andrew Cook, our external ISO auditor – and are grateful for the hard work they have done and continue to do.”
The highlight of the process, was the auditor being unable to pick the two biggest positives in our submission.
