It's not a matter of if ...but when
Reducing cybercrime vulnerability
Our one-day event ‘What keeps you awake at night?’ will arm delegates with new insights to help them tackle the complex area of cybersecurity and business continuity.
The risk of cybercrime is a growing concern for businesses. For today’s decision makers, it is not so much a question of ‘if’ you will be targeted but ‘when’.
For instance, more than half of UK companies were hit by ransomware in the past 12 months. This involves the encryption or lock down of computer systems by cybercriminals who then demand payment to remedy the situation.
No business can afford to suffer the level of downtime and data loss that can result from cybercrime. However, there is not an easy, one-size-fits-all solution. How can you plan and invest effectively for a threat that could strike tomorrow but might not emerge for the next two years?
Our event will help delegates understand the scale of the threat and the approaches they can take to mitigate risk. Factors such as staff awareness and training will be covered in addition to cybersecurity technologies.
Keynote speakers include cybersecurity management pioneer Richard Benham, Professor in Residence at the National Cyber Skills Centre. Attendees will also be able to hone in on the issues that matter most to them, via roundtables covering business continuity, data recovery and agile working.
Cybercrime poses a threat to all businesses. Of the UK companies affected by ransomware in the past year, nine per cent experienced a total blackout through encryption and many suffered problems for nine hours or longer.
Don’t let your business become a cybercrime statistic. Come to our event to learn how to reduce vulnerability and minimise the impact of an attack if it occurs.
